Wig makers buy from us two different ways, and which one you need depends entirely on how you build.
If you build wefted wigs, you need bundles
Sewing wefts onto a cap is how most commercial wigs are made. It is fast — roughly three to eight hours for a full unit against twenty to sixty for hand-tying — and it produces a dense, full result at a workable cost.
For this you want our raw Indian hair bundles: machine wefted, 100g per bundle, 8″ to 30″, single donor and cuticle aligned. Most full units take three to four bundles depending on cap size and density.
If you ventilate, you need bulk
Hand-tying individual strands into lace with a ventilating hook gives the most convincing scalp and the most natural movement. It is slow, skilled work, and it cannot be done with wefted hair — you need loose strands.
For this you want our raw Indian bulk hair: unwefted, tied and direction marked, 100g per bundle, 10″ to 30″. Because it has not been acid stripped, it takes a knot cleanly and holds it.
A note on cuticle direction in bulk
In a weft, root direction is fixed for you. In bulk it is held only by the tie. Cut the tie, lose the direction, and no amount of conditioning will stop the hair matting — the cuticles are now fighting each other. This is true of all raw bulk hair, ours included, which is why every bundle arrives tied and marked at the root end.
What bulk hair is also used for
Beyond ventilating, bulk is the format for braiding, twists, locs and loc repair — anywhere you need loose human hair rather than a sewn weft. If that is your trade rather than wig making, the same product serves.
What keratin tips are not for
Worth stating plainly, because it is a common mix-up: our keratin tip extensions are not a wig-making product and not a braiding product. I-Tip, Flat Tip and U-Tip are individual pre-bonded strands applied to a client’s own hair — micro-ring and bead work for I-Tip, heat fusion for U-Tip. They are a salon service, not a construction material.
Closures and frontals
If you are building units to sell, our HD lace closures and frontals are hand tied on the same raw Indian temple hair as the bundles, and matched from the same donor batch. That match is the whole reason to buy the lace piece and the wefts from one supplier — they take colour the same way and wear at the same rate.
Trade pricing
Tiered pricing opens at ten units and improves at fifty and two hundred. Wig makers ordering repeatedly are quoted individually rather than from a public list.

Questions we get asked
Do wig makers use bulk hair or wefted bundles?
Both, depending on method. Wefted bundles for machine-wefted wigs; bulk hair for hand-ventilated lace units. Ventilating cannot be done with wefted hair.
How much hair does a full wig need?
Roughly three to four bundles for a wefted unit, depending on cap size, density and length. Ventilated units vary more — tell us the spec and we will advise.
Is the bulk hair tied at the root?
Yes. Every bundle arrives tied and direction marked. Keep the tie until you are ready to work.
Can I order custom lengths?
Beyond 30″ is made to order, subject to what the current donor range will carry. Written quotation first.
