Care

It behaves like your own hair, because it is.

Raw hair with an intact cuticle responds the way growing hair responds. It takes a curl, releases it, and drinks conditioner. It also dries out if you treat it like synthetic. These are the only rules that matter.

Washing

  • Use a sulphate-free shampoo. Sulphates strip the cuticle, which is the whole reason this hair lasts.
  • Wash in cool or lukewarm water, never hot.
  • Work downward from weft to tip. Do not pile the hair on top of your head and scrub — that is what causes matting at the root.
  • Condition every wash. Deep condition every third.

Drying

  • Press water out with a towel rather than rubbing.
  • Air dry where you can. For wavy and curly textures, scrunch and leave alone.
  • Never sleep on it wet.

Heat

  • Always use a heat protectant.
  • Keep irons under 180°C / 350°F. This hair does not need more, and more will cost you months of life.

Colour

Our natural dark shade can be safely lifted to #613. We recommend a professional colourist — the hair takes colour readily, which means it also over-processes readily in inexperienced hands.

Storage

Braid loosely or lay flat in the bag it arrived in. Never store damp.
