Indian Hair: Sourcing & Preparation
What happens before a bundle reaches you matters. Origin, sorting, preparation, and finishing each help describe the hair you are choosing.
Our Indian starting point
Our Indian donor-hair collection is sourced through South Indian temple hair supply and prepared by Hair Cloud India Private Limited in Kerala, India.
A sourcing description and a texture description answer different questions. Indian identifies origin. Straight, body wave, spiral curly, or kinky straight describes a look. The finishing history explains how that look is achieved.
Sorting and direction
Hair is sorted for its intended product. Remy describes hair whose cuticles are aligned in the same direction; donor count is a separate specification. Sorting, length selection, and handling all matter when hair is prepared into a weft or another format.
From loose hair to a finished product
Wefted bundles are prepared for sew-ins and wig construction. Loose bulk hair is a different format for braiding and other strand-by-strand work. Closures and frontals combine hair with lace for a finished parting or hairline area.
Natural texture and texture finishing
Our raw Indian line uses virgin Remy donor hair as its starting material. Some styles retain naturally occurring patterns, while other styles are created through texture finishing. Color is also a form of processing and should be considered separately.
The Vietnamese line
Our super double drawn Vietnamese collection is processed Remy human hair in straight texture. It has a different origin and processing description from the raw Indian donor-hair line.
